答:a. they fired their servant.
b. they moved from a comfortable apartment to a small attic-like flat under the roof.

答:a. something was wrong with his watch and stopped at a quarter past eight, but he didn’t know it .

答:Mrs. Reed was
a) cruel –locked Jane alone in the red room where Mr. Reed died in no matter how Jane prayed her.
b) Selfish and unfair –she ignored his son’s mistreatment of Jane , but punished Jane when Jane fought against her son .
c) Hypocritical –pretended to be Jane’s friend when Jane attacked her words bravely, her words didn’t speak her act.
