20---off line talk between art, derrick and isabelle
art: great job, derrick! i should call you 'doctor derrick' or 'doctor jazz'...
derrick: yeah, right. the listeners are the ones who are really running the show.
art: but the advertisers like you. and we've got a contract.
derrick: not that whiskey company again....i don't want any part of it!
art: just listen. your girlfriend is brilliant. she called and gave me some ideas.
derrick: what?! why didn't you tell me about this?
art: she said you'd get mad.
derrick: well, she was right. i suppose she mentioned some promotional CDs.
art: yes. and they loved the idea. and i think she's right about the contract.
derrick: since when do you and Isabelle run my life?!
art: derrick, calm down! this is business.
derrick: how come i don't have a say in the matter?
art: i'm going to be straight with you. if it weren't for me, you'd still be in that underpass.
derrick: so you think i'm just a bum and you're my savior.
art: isabelle's right. the underpass is no place to spend your life.
derrick: you both make me sick! you think you can rule my life?!
art: if you want to keep this job, you're going to have to let me make the business decisions.
derrick: if i'm just a puppet here, why should i want to keep my job?
art: you're talking nonsense. now have some whisky, compliments of the sponsor.
